Dalmonia Rognean (
Her work is deeply rooted in research, visually evolving into a metaphysical
and magical atmosphere
while maintaining a connection to an empirical approach.
Rather than relying on linear narratives, she is interested in world-making.
Grounding her images in the language of reality, she expands them beyond it,
creating a world where multiple narratives surrounding her concept coexist.
She is fascinated by human habits and the beauty that emerges from
our ability to transform flaws into fear-confronting rituals.
Her work exists between the tangible exterior and a space beyond sensory perception,
seamlessly intertwining the effable and the ineffable.
Collaborative work is an integral part of her artistic practice.
She currently studies Photography and Timebased Media
at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
She is a co-founder of the ‘Against Photography’ collective art gallery, located in Vienna’s 15th district.
